So how did your OS fair?

The six benchmarks were conducted on the same hardware with basic installations. Obviously you might be able to improve performance with some special OS tweaks, but most people run with out of the box installs. Especially in the current state of things where IT budgets and staffers are stretch extremely thin who has time to remember to tweak the OS?
